Seaborg's Comments: "This picture was taken in 1969 when President Nixon and I were still operating on more or less the same wave length." Gradually during the following two years Dr. Seaborg found the ethics of the Nixon administration in conflict with his own values and he found it necessary to leave the Atomic Energy Commission in 1971 to return to his professorship at the University of California, Berkeley.
