- Seaborg's Comments
- Following the signing of the 1963 Limited Test Ban Treaty in Moscow there was a reception in the Kremlin's Georgian Hall. Soviet Premier Nikita Khruschev took this opportunity to make an impromptu speech. Dr. Seaborg, ever the thrill seeker, decided this would be a wonderful moment to try his hand at covert photojournalism. "I took my life in my own hands and took a picture of Khruschev with my Minox camera," says Dr. Seaborg. "I took it out, snapped a picture, and then put it away hoping I wouldn't be caught. I don't know what would have happened then."
